Predictors of Twin–Twin Transfusion Syndrome
Hemodynamic changes in severe twin-to-twin transfusion may be seen as early as 11–14 weeks as an increased nuchal translucency thickness representing a 3.5–4.4-fold increased risk for developing TTTS. Intertwin membrane folding represents a 4.2-fold increased risk for developing TTTS. Abnormal flow patterns in the ductus venosus in monochorionic twin pregnancies has also been proposed as a prediction of TTTS.
